Saloon Day

It was afternoon.. on Friday, 11th Sept 09... Mama teringin nak buat hair spa.. rambut da macam happe je. SO, lepas amik Aliya dr school mama pun bawak Aliya gi kedai yg mama buat highlight dulu.. Kedai ni best sbb dlm kedai ni cantik, and then org2 dia pun friendly. Kedai melayu... N at that time masa kita pegi tu, sbb hari Jumaat dan di bulan Ramadhan.. diorg semua pakai baju melayu dan baju kurung. Cantik2 belaka macam da raya je.. So dr biar Aliya boring mama buat hair spa sensorang, mama soh diorg buat aliya punye rambut sekali lah. Teringat kat your Aunty Shikin yg dah a few times bawak girls dia buat rambut. Maka nye.. tercipta lah sejarah iaitu kali pertama Aliya buat hair spa.. In fact, this was the first time you've ever had anything done to your hair kat saloon. Selalunya mama and opah aje yang potong rambut Aliya!

Aliya Puasa tak?

You noticed that abah and I haven't been eating during the day lately. Sometimes you offered me some of your favorite drinks when you poured yourself some, only to be refused for the reason that I was fasting. I didn't know how much i could make you understand about fasting, despite all the explanation i gave you. You didn't respond much when it comes to this topic because... well maybe you didn't know how to. And maybe when you did ask me some questions to make you understand better, it was I who didn't know how to respond. This one has touched my heart;

Mama: Its okay Aliya... Mama tak boleh minum lagi, sbb mama puasa. Kita tunggu mama buka puasa bila Mr Sun comes down later, ya...?

Aliya: Hmm... Napa...? Mama tutup ke puasa?

Mama: Hehehehhehehe.... umm.... (didnt really know what to say) Yup... mama tutup puasa mama tadi masa Aliya sleep, masa Mr Sun belum keluar pun lagi...

Aliya: Kenapa?

Mama: Sebab skrg is the month of Ramadhan... semua muslim macam mama and Abah kena puasa (then i was afraid you didnt understand the concept of Months yet)

Aliya: Kenapa?

Mama: heheh... hmm... (now out of idea already) can i explain to you when you're a bit older?

Aliya: Kenapa?

Mama: Because by then, you could understand better....

Aliya: Hmmm (Not very satisfied yet, but.. ) okay.

Hehehe... then, when the topic resurfaced, you'd ask again... and again... :D. And of course I didn't and wouldn't mind... because I love you so.

The Baby Doll that says 'I love you, Mummy'

You've been asking Abah and I to get you the baby doll... Since you first saw the ad at Tok Ma's house. Abah gave you his word that he would get you the doll, if you behave as a good girl for the whole week. You were hesitant, but there was nothing you could have done to get things your way then. So you ... well, behaved like you. Like a fun, cheerful, witty 4 years old girl. You still drove us crazy sometimes, but at the end of the day, when we were watching you sleep we cant take our eyes off of you. Yezz.. you an angel. When you sleep....

Well, putting the condition was only a matter of delaying things that you're gonna get anyhow. He.. or me... WILL get that doll for you. We always did gave you almost everything you want, as long as they don't bring any potential harm to you. Only please, give us some time, okay... time wasnt on our side as yet. It will be soon. The weekend is coming.

BUT whatever happened to your old baby-doll I bought you when we live in JB? Hmm.. don't remember leaving it in MR.
