"Mama, i need to talk to you about something"

This i have to do today. It has been on my mind since the moment it happened yesterday.

Me: Aliya, have you seen my sepit rambut here somewhere?

You: umm... Mama, come here.. I need to talk to you about something

Me, a lil bit puzzled by your action but amazed at the same time for hearing that sorta words came out of your cute lil mouth: Sure, honey. What is it?

You: Your sepit rambut is broken. I'm sorry fatin tak sengaja. It was an accident.

Me, terharu: Aww.. its okey sayang.. But where is it?

You: I hid it... Sbb kalau mama nampak nanti mama marah.. Fatin sorry mama...

Me: Alahai sayang... tak lah, mama x marah la..

Then i was thinking... Mama selalu ke marah Aliya for things like that? Gosh... I am so..oo.. sorry, sayang...

Then I hug and hug and hug you, and I think I couldnt stop hugging you, for making me see things that i have done to you without me realising it was for wrong reasons. And it was HOW you made me see it, that made me so proud of you... And you were just FOUR.

And I love you so.....

Jaundice (cont')

These may help you see how tiny you were.. ;)

Jaundice

Abah gave me these pics a few weeks ago. My my... how time flies. Looking at how tiny and vulnerable you were, its unbelievable how strong, energetic and active you can be today. These pics were taken by my sis's camera phone. Lucky she had one, or I'd miss putting these pic on the blog today. You were in my hometowns' hospital. We were admitted because you had jaundice, and had to be treated with U/V light. We were there for two nights. Your dad and grandpa came all the time, even after hours. Our beds were next to the windows so, they could just hang out outside and keep us company from there.

My darling Aliya, no matter how vulnerable, tiny or weak you might feel at one day, or no matter how bad the shape you might be at one time, (in which that day always come!) you will always grow out of it to be in your best. But remember, it can only happen if YOU allow it to happen, and believe that it would. Do remember this, ya... And I love you so.

Dearest Aliya,

Can't help posting the news in here. It reminds me of some stories about 'ungrateful off-springs', which i hope i will get the chance to tell you one day. At this moment, i think you are still too young to understand, and to appreciate each story if i were to tell you now.

And darling, I love you so.

Art Attack!

This was unplanned. We attended the TKC's Parent-Teacher-Day today and after that, maybe for feeling bored for have been keeping ourselves at home (no thanks to the haze and H1N1), I just drove you to the National Library, hoping that we would get the chance to check out the kids section. Unfortunately, there was a function held at the Library and a crowded place was the last place we would want to go. So, one of my dearest friend Shikin mentioned to me a few times about her spending time with her girls at the Great Eastern Mall, Jln Ampang KL when we met and remembering that, I thought maybe I should give it a try. It was not that far from where we were anyway.

So, there we were. You chose to make a pull-bunny. But you were so unsure because you were worried of not knowing how to do it. The teacher managed to convince you that she'll guide you along the way. However, the moment you know that I'll be with you at all times you're there, you happily hopped into the class, pulled on the paint-jacket and sat at the table.

Everything after that, went smoothly till the end.

p/s: So... remember this when you want to do something, but you feel a lil bit unsure of your abilities. Just know that you'll make it through. You always do.

And I love you so.

Asthmatic Since Baby

This is one of the so many times you had to be gased (Nebulized). You had this even more frequent when you were between 10 months and 2 years old. You were admitted to the hospital when you were almost two due to brocho-pneumonia. Due to the history of asthma that runs in both Abah's and my sides, you only had so minimal chance to escape having it in you. There were many that could trigger your allergy reactions - where your respiratory system would be compromised. Food, milk, drinks... Since you were a baby, you were lactose intolerant. Thus can only consume FL + HA milk (we gave u BEBELAC FL + NAN HA). You'd have runny nose and coughing if you get upsetting food in your sensitive lil tummy, inclusive of all cultured-drink e.g. vitagen, lychee drink, grapes, orange and a few others that i dont remember this very minute. But most of them you love so much. But i always give you a lil bit of each praying that your body will get to adapt having them. And it worked. And i was even more glad i did it since recently i found in a medical journal that the method has been proven to work (2009). Nevertheless, up to today you're still very sensitive to dust, and now the haze (in which at present moment very2 bad) and also flu virus carried by other children your age, which is also very very common nowadays. So i have to keep 3 important items close to you at all times- your aerochamber, the combivent and inflammide puffs, to be given to you when your asthmatic symptoms appear. While i am writing this, there is actually a virus outbreak (H1N1) which is very fatal, especially to those with respiratory ailments. You, are among the high-risk group. To date, in Malaysia 26 people died of it. I could not take any chance of you getting it so, i've been keeping you away from school and going out to public places for almost 2 weeks now. Im praying that this outbreak will go away soon...

Aliya and Beach

You love beach... You love to swim... and since very little you never show any fear of water... These are among the moments you enjoyed the beach in Mersing, with your cousins Amzar, Adnin and Ayeesya, and your uncle and aunties. And of course, Abah and I were there too... :D.

H1N1 virus...

At this moment, i wish i could tell you how badly i am worried about this virus. It attacks people and you, being asthmatic is very2 vulnerable for its fatal effect. So i spend a lot of my time these days learning as much as i can about this virus, and the possible means of fighting it away. As for now, the followings are what i've found:

How the virus spread: Spread like other influenza virus: through air and contact.

Symptoms of attack: Fever, flu, runny nose / excessive mucus in respiratory system: Lung, bronchial. Those with respiratory ailments, pregnant, diabetic, obese have higher fatality risk.

What to eat/drink to help ease and prevent: Coconut Drink, Orange, Lemon, Pomelo, Birdnest, Scott's Emulsion, Lots of Mineral/plain water, Green Apples.

Avoid to consume: Ice.

What to do: Stay away from crowd, public places, contact within 1 metre with anyone with flu, wear face-mask, shower with warm water (avoid cold water), avoid ice and late night shower/bath.

Once feeling feverish; quickly seek medical treatment. Those who are in high risk group (you!) will be given anti-viral without further delay. And keep yourself away from others, self-quarantine at home, or as per doctors' advise.

Abah and You

Love this pic... There's so much love in it. It was taken a few moments after we finally reached the hotel room - Le Meredian in Kota Kinabalu, exactly a week ago. We had so much fun there. You were such a good girl, traveling with you was pure joy and not difficult at all. Your dad and i talked a lot about you, and couldn't stop thanking Allah for blessing us with you...
