We're Expecting 😊👶

It's what we have been looking for for quite sometime. You're already 10, turning 11 in about 3 months 😅. You're a big girl now, so you understand a lot about what is coming and how this will affect you. And because of that big heart of yours, you're even more excited than abah and mama with the news. The baby is indeed very lucky to have you as the bigger sister. You're going to love the baby with all your heart,  i know it.

Not only the baby's lucky. I am too. I'd been so lucky with you as the centre of my universe before. You're an angel. N I'm so lucky even more now... to have a wonderful, beautiful daughter and friend who not only share the joy, but also been a big help with this challenging stage of the first trimester. My hormones have gone haywire, my body aches everywhere, suffers migraine every other day, feeling exhausted and thirsty like aaaallll the time, bloated, nausea and therefore stress and lack of sleep every single night. So yes, my darling. You're a big help. Alhamdulillah for you. I pray that Allah will ease your journey to jannah for every effort that you put for helping me.

As for now, there's no way to tell if we're having a boy or a girl. Just wanted to make a note here that although you and abah keeps fighting for a girl and a boy, Allah have already decided for us. So.. let's pray more on the health and wellbeing of the baby instead, ya sayang. Let the baby be the coolness of our eyes, a muttaqeen. Semoga dia akan tergolong dlm golongan mereka yg sentiasa dlm lindungan Allah di hari akhirat nanti.

Its a wonderful news, kan... with perfect timing lepas mama viva. Although. .. mama blm sempat buat correction sbb asyik mabukkk aje!

Okay lah. Ngantuk. Finally. Yelah sbb da pukul 5.30am!

What?? NOSE BLEED??

Panic mama. It was your first ever nose bleed. Tak banyak pun... tak meleleh-leleh cuma visible kat lubang hidung dan sebab Aliya wipe nose Aliya unconciously ada lah tercalit sikit kat tepi hidung. Tapi mama panic le sebab nampak darah kat Aliya!

Masa tu baru nak je lepas solat Maghrib kat restoran Yusuf Haslam. Berbuka puasa semalam. Time tu tgh nak ambik kuih yang sama colour dgn t-shirt Aliya ~ belang2 pink and white yang selalu je ada dalam gambar. Kawan abah Hj Satar suruh cepat2 amik ice dan letak kat atas kepala Aliya. Dia kata kepala panas tu. Abah pun bergegas bangun ke kitchen restoran mintak ice. Then, abah letak dalam handkerchief abah, bg mama letak kat kepala. Aliya okay je.. suka je... macam takde apa2 berlaku pun. Cuma kepala Aliya jadi basah la macam mandi. Aliya siap berangan tgh shampoo rambut lagi. Haha.

Seorang pakcik yang kerja kat kedai tu pun, kebetulan berada berhampiran dgn tempat kejadian cakap perkara yang sama juga, kena letak ice atas kepala. Dia kata 'owh.. ni sama la ni dgn anak pakcik yang itu' sambil menunjuk ke arah seorang perempuan baya2 ateh. Perempuan tu senyum aje.

Pakcik tu kata nanti dia baik sendiri. Pakcik bawak anak pakcik gi klinik, diorang pun suruh letak ice kat kepala, lap hidung dgn kain lembap. Katanya diorng pun takde bagi ubat apa2 pun. Itu saje caranya.

Memang takde pun darah yang keluar lagi lepas tu. Memang tak banyak pun keluar asalnya. Mama actually risau jugak nak tiba2 letak ice kat atas kepala aliya. Macam boleh demam je macamtu mama fikir sebab dari panas tiba2 sejuk mendadak..... Nasib baik Aliya tak demam.

Tapi mama tak puas hati juga ni, macammana boleh datang nose bleed ni ek? Macammana pulak kepala aliya panas tapi tak demam? Heran. Apakah penjelasan saintifik utk fenomena ni (chewah!) So, mama google la "nose bleed". Banyak info yang mama dapat. Antaranya (to sum ye.. sbb banyak site ni)...



~ Punca nose bleed: Generally, due to dry and warm air. Sometimes, due to allergy medication (antihistamine) which results in drier nose interior. Sometimes, nose picking. Other, less common, causes include injuries, colds, allergies or cocaine use. Children may stick small objects up the nose. Older people may have atherosclerosis (which is the hardening of the arteries), infections, high blood pressure and blood clotting disorders, or they may be taking drugs like aspirin that interfere with blood clotting. Sometimes, the cause of nosebleeds can't be determined.




~ What should we do kalau ada nose bleed: sit down and lean slightly forward. Keeping your head above your heart will slow the bleeding. Lean forward so the blood will drain out of your nose instead of down the back of your throat. If you lean back, you may swallow the blood. This can cause irritate your stomach. Use your thumb and index finger to squeeze together the soft portion of your nose. This area is located between the end of your nose and the hard, bony ridge that forms the bridge of your nose. Keep holding your nose until the bleeding stops. Don't let go for at least 5 minutes. If it's still bleeding, hold it again for another 5 to 10 minutes. Once the bleeding stops, don't do anything that may make it start again, such as bending over or blowing your nose. Once you've stopped the initial nosebleed, don't lift heavy objects or do other activities that cause you to strain, and don't blow your nose for 24 hours. Also, keep your head elevated above your heart as much as possible. A single nosebleed is rarely cause for alarm, but frequent nosebleeds might indicate a more serious problem. If you get nosebleeds more than once a week, you should see your doctor. Most cases of frequent nosebleeds are easily treated. Sometimes blood vessels inside the nose become irritated and don't heal. This happens frequently in teens who have ongoing allergies or frequent colds. A doctor may have a solution if you have this problem.

If your doctor rules out a sinus infection, allergies, or irritated blood vessels, he or she may order other tests to see why you're getting frequent nosebleeds. Rarely, a bleeding disorder could be a possibility, although it's unlikely that a bleeding disorder will first show up as a nosebleed.

So.. in your case, mama ingat yang prior to that incident Aliya sneezed banyak kali. Banyak dari pada biasa (in your case, more than 5 times). Maybe sebab tu kot. Lagi satu, Aliya ni kalau mama suruh blow your nose masa selsema, suka blow kuat2.. sebab nak bagi mama 'kejut'. Hehe. Mama pun ingat menda tu harmless, so mama pun selalu je buat2 'kejut'. Tu yang lagi Aliya suka buat. So lepas ni no more kejut2 dgn blow nose kuat2 ye sayang.

Okay... harap2 information ni cukup buat rujukan mama and aliya sendiri in the future. Kalau Aliya rajin, (memang rajin pun, kan) Aliya google lah. Ada banyak info, siap ada diagram, sketch gambar hidung dan details kat mana selalu berdarah, dan macam2 lah. Ada cartoon yg lukis gambar darah keluar memancut2 lagi dari hidung. Mama nak letak tadi kat sini tapi hari ni mama rasa tak sampai hati pulak. Tgk lah esok lusa kalau angin mama jadi angin kejam sikit. Hehehe....

Jaga2.. jgn korek idung tu. Hesy... Kalau ada taik idung bersihkan dengan cara wuduk tu.. masukkan air dalam rongga hidung dan keluarkan semula. Buat selalu... kan elok melembapkan kulit bhgian dalam hidung.. selain sebab mama pernah baca kat mana tah dulu, yang Syaitan suka tidur dalam rongga hidung. Buat kita jadi malas nak solat. Bila masukkan air, Syaitan pun akan...? ruuuunnnn ;-)

Juga minum air banyak2 okeh... Jadikan amalan. Saaaaaaaaayang anak mama. Mmuahss.

H1N1 Jab

Last Friday mama gi klinik sebab sakit mata sebenarnya. Mama punya mata kiri bengkak. Ingatkan ada kena mengena dgn cermin mata baru or contact lens ke.. rupa2nya mata mama (according to Dr) digigit serangga kecil. Spider ke apa ke (dia kata lah). Mama bgtau dr dekat tulang eye socket ni pun rasa sakit. Dia kata ye lah... bisa serangga tu akan attack nerves dekat mata. Tapi mata putih mama tu tak merah pun. Cuma mata rasa gatal sangat sangat and dekat kelopak mata mama ada sikit bengkak. Itupun tak merah. So, dr bagi lah mama ubat alahan (beserta pesanan untuk jangan makan seafood for the following 24hrs) dan ubat utk itchiness. Memang lepas tu... lega. Hilang bengkak. Gatal2 je ada lagi sikit ni.

But anyway, masa tu takde orang kat klinik. Masa nak amik ubat mama perasan notice H1N1 jabs ada kat situ. So, mama teringat lah berita baru2 ni ada budak umur 5 tahun meninggal dunia sebab dia kena H1N1. And dia ada pre-condition. Tak ingat apa dia ada. Tapi mama tahu those with asthma adalah tergolong dalam orang2 yang berisiko tinggi. Mama teruslah tanya budak kat kaunter (bukan jawapan dia sendiri.. dia masuk dalam tanya Dr)... soalan2 seperti;

- Hari ni boleh amik Jab H1N1 tak? dia kata boleh
- Berapa lama H1N1 jab ni akan cover org yg amik Jab ni? dia kata: Varies. But normally between 6 to 1 year.
- Ada apa2 side effect? dia kata - normally demam sikit.
- Is it safe utk amik skrg? Sebab aliya ada runny nose sikit2 masa tu. Dia kata ok je
- Berapa yek kena bayar? 90 ringgit malaysia sahaja. Panel suami akak tak cover tau.
- Owh ye ke... takpe. Kalau camtu japlah.. Akak tak bawak cash ni, nanti akak datang balik.
- Eh kejap2... kalau nak amik Jab utk chicken pox boleh buat sekali ke (macam melampau kan mama?? Hahaha) Erk... jap sy tanya dr semula. Tapi tak boleh amik hari ni. Akak kena letak deposit sikit. Pastu kami order. Nanti bila ubat dah sampai kami call.
- Okey. Takpe, nanti akak tanye dr sendiri.

Sementara gi amik duit ngan Aliya, mama explain kat Aliya yang Aliya nak kena Jab kejap lagi. Aliya cakap "tapi Aliya kan tak sakit. Mama je yang sakit". Hehehe. Mama cakap, Mama nak bagi Aliya lagi strong la ni yang mama nak Dr cucuk Aliya ni... Aliya ok x? Aliya kata... "okey. Just a little bit nervous. Tapi saya brave, macam benjamin bunny " Phew. Nasib baik ada benjamin Bunny.

So. Dr Leow pun cucuk lah Aliya kat bon bon. Mama pegang je Aliya. Mama kata tak sakit pun, kan... ? Aliya kata sakit, tapi tak nangis pun. Memang brave lah anak mama. Dr Leow pun suka kat Aliya. "So cute lah ini girl. And Very2 brave". (ISH memang le... kan kan).

Tapi sakit kejap aje. By the time sampai rumah, dah tak sakit dah aliya kata. Hmm.... good girl :) Harap2 this jab works. InsyaAllah. Kita tawakkal je lah pada Allah. Kita dah usaha setakat yang mampu, kan? Jaga makan, makan buah2, minum susu, wash hand n sanitise tangan selalu... kan? Mudah-mudahan....

Mama tunggu je Aliya demam ke .. lembik ke apa ke lepas Jab. Dr kata akan ada effect within 24 hrs lepas cucuk. Tapi tak de pape pun. Tapi, tiba2 come monday ni (today), Aliya selsema. Agak teruk gak pagi tadi. Mata sampai sembab2 ni. Abah cakap maybe effect pada aliya lambat sikit sikit sebab Aliya strong kot.. (ye ke?) Ntah le. Aliya nak pegi school sebab excited ada sports day practice. Tapi mama rasa tak patut mama allow Aliya gi school. Unfair untuk kawan2 Aliya. Its not like I can not have you at home, kan. Alhamdulillah mama keje kat umah je.

Oh by the way. Dr Leow kata kalau nak amik cucuk utk chicken pox, kena tunggu at least 4 weeks lepas cucuk Jab ni. Dia kata Jab tu cover dalam area 6 months je. Itupun kalau makan tak jaga - makan ice cubes, durian... (?? Itu buah fav aliya tu!) boleh kena juga chicken pox. Hmm... macam tak payah la jab camtu, kan? Kita biar je immunisation semula jadi boleh? Seram.. haha. Dr tu gelak kat mama. Dia kata kat Aliya "oh your mama wants to protect you from everything huh??" Mama gelak la jugak. Sambil cakap "Oh sure... I as long as I can"

ANY mom would try to do that, kan. Ape lah Dr Leow ni. ;-P
