Bye-Bye Preschool... & Hello Kindy!

My darling, Aliya.

The PTD, today marks the end of your preschool. So soon! Da besar da baby mama ni... And, you and I went to see teacher Lalitha, the Rose's class teacher for this term. She's a cheerful, fun person, no wonder you love her! Here are among the interesting things teacher Lalitha said about you...

"Fatin Aliya is a very bright student. Very smart and a fast learner. I won't be worrying too much about her if she is my daughter. She could do what is expected of her age: To know letters and numbers, basic mathematical skills, and she has improved a lot in her writing and fine skills. Only, she seems to be having a little problem sitting in one place"

"Does she has any problems concentrating in class? During the lessons?"

"Oh no, she does not. She could concentrate well when a teacher is teaching in front, and usually could understand the lessons given with little aid. She could also catch up even if she missed school a few days. Only she can't stay in one place. She would sometimes just stand and walk to the snack room to drink, or eat, or go to the toilet. We don't really mind so much... so we just advised her to ask for the teacher's permission before going anywhere"

Haha.. why am I not surprised? Because you're the same at home. You always have some things to do, or rooms/space to go... If you are not satisfied with things that you are having/doing. Is this a good thing? or not? I am still thinking about this, and would surely discuss this with your Abah. But what you did, i think... its just because you got bored, got thirsty.. and.. you feel like you have the right to do what you wanted to do... I mean, pegi minum, toilet... Cuma next time kena tanye teacher la dulu, okay... Hmmm.... Maybe because you feel at home.

"She has a very high confidence level. She argues when she disagrees" Gee... that reminds me of both of her parents ;-)

"She is so confident with herself, and maybe that has influence her growing leadership skills - sometimes she guides her friends with their tasks and corrected them if they made mistakes in their work herself. She carries her eraser and pencil around!" kahkahkah! Goodness!

"She would sometimes requested everyone to be quiet by knocking her pencil on the table and says 'quiet please'!" I was awed when i heard this... until I hear the next one...

"There was one day there were two boys talking and laughing aloud. They were sitting on the floor next to where she was sitting. I think she was disturbed while concentrating with her task in hand so she turned to them and said 'hey! What so funny down there?! I was like 'hahahaha... hello???' " Teacher Lalitha.... that makes the TWO of us! hahahaha...

"She is a fun and playful girl. We love her and we like playing with her. She never hesitate to ask about anything. She asked a lot. She is very expressive too. She says what she feels all she wants. And she shares a lot with us. She tells us interesting things she did at home and all. Sometimes, she would just sit on any teacher's lap when she feels like sharing" ooo... ye ke? hahaha.. sukke2 je...

"She would really feel down whenever she had to stay behind for daycare. Most of the times, her mood would be affected since the beginning. She wouldn't do her tasks as well as she usually does when she is okay. Well, it really shows when something is bugging her" Hmmm... anak mama tak suka daycare.. mama tau ni.. Mama pun tak suka juga hanta Aliya lama2. Mama faham, sayang. Cuma sometimes... mama kena kerja. Mama kena pergi JB, jumpa supervisor mama... Harap one day Aliya akan faham dan maafkan mama, ya...

And while teacher Lalitha were talking ... and laughing about things that you did in school, you just listened and smile all the way... :-D.. silly gurl.

But all in all, she told me that you have done well. You would have no problem at all adapting to the kindergarten level, and you should be able to read on your own very soon.

I am so proud of you, sayang. Like always... you never fail to make me proud. Mama sebenarnya ready utk dengar kelemahan2 Aliya. That is how we learn, kan? But so far... mama rasa sama je macam teacher Lalitha rasa.

I think, you have done well.

I love you soooo... much. Nanti mama bawa Aliya double date dgn Irfan n aunty zubye ye... ;-)
